Welcome to the home of Blackwood Players
Established in 1951, Blackwood Players is one of South Australia's oldest local theatre companies. As a non-profit community-based theatre company Blackwood Players recruits people of all ages with a diverse range of skills and talents while providing opportunities to learn and develop new skills in all aspects of theatrical production.
The Blackwood Players mount three full-scale theatrical productions each year. Blackwood 21 is home to Blackwood Players and is the venue where their productions are staged.
Additionally, a program of smaller-scale monthly shows and Sunday matinees, produced by our new auxiliary Blackwood Players Club, are to be staged in The Studio at Blackwood 21. These Blackwood Players Club productions will form an innovative and dynamic program of one-act plays, script readings, radio productions and experimental drama.
